Division 16, through its chapters and members throughout Europe, strives to educate all current and former Air Force members on those quality of life issues our elected officials choose to put forth, alter, diminish, or do away with entirely. Pay and benefits, healthcare and prescription drugs, housing, education, and retirement, to name a few.

As current and former Airmen, we sometimes take it for granted our elected officials work in our best interests as . This isn't always the case. In fact, only 20% of the entire Congress has served any time in any component of the military, making it difficult for them to truly understand what we as Airmen and our families sacrifice in service to our country. Many times, our elected officials make decisions going against what we as Airmen would expect, including denying our WW II veterans their promised healthcare benefits for life or reducing force size while continually expanding expeditionary mission requirements.

Division 16 serves to educate all current and former Airmen in Europe on what's happening on Capitol Hill and how we, speaking with One Voice, can make a difference and influence decisions made that directly impact us professionally and personally.
